Here’s a pic of my dinner from last night

that’s two sirloin steaks (rare), proper home made chips, a fried egg and some peas. All made by my own fair hand
That’s a poke in the eye for vegetarians everywhere !
I thank you…

Aye, I finally got around to getting one. No idea why I left it as long as I did. I suppose it was the thought of being some sort of social leper. Plus I thought it would be good to have in Thailand and I could get one of those wee docking station thing and use it as a hi-fi sort of thing.
Am I the only person not to have owned one for so long ?
Anyhoo, got a refurbished one off ebay in the US for about £85 – bargain ?
Not so fast sunshine, those nice people at customs were so impressed with my iPod that they demanded I pay them £35 to have it released for delivery – bastards !
Still, it’s in great nick and I’m currently uploading all of my brothers tunes (predominantly techno) and some Terry Pratchett audio books I had on disc.
So if you want to kick it hard core or are looking for a good book at bedtime, you know where to find me…
(Apologies as this has nothing to do with scuba diving/Thailand but I wasn’t actually planning to start posting in earnest until I got there, but Yvonne wasn’t having that, oh no sir ! Look out for my forthcoming review of this fall season schedule on US TV coming later this week.)

Hello – I’m BigFatJim
I currently live in Glasgow and work in IT.
But, come December I’m moving to Pattaya in Thailand to spend 9 months training to be a scuba diving instructor (not a mid-life crisis honest)

This blog was created so I could share my escapades, antics and general hijinx whilst I’m training for my new career. The course starts in December so will get into full swing then.
In the mean time tune in for occasional random nonsense.
